Can this simple tale of ninjas, ancient kaiju guardians and the simple mountain village outside of Tokyo distract us long enough from the world collapsing around us? Episode 237 – Kaiju No 8: Mission Recon (2024)

We take a look at a theatrically released truncation of an anime hit, as the latest manga adaptation flies off the page and into film in a short time frame. Will this movie be enough to get audiences interested in the characters and universe of the show or is it too much left on the cutting room floor? Episode 236 – Ape X Mecha Ape: New World Order (2024)

Once more we escape our straight jackets inside the Asylum for another mockbuster, but one that perhaps is our last one for the podcast. Can a sequel without a godzilla rip-off succeed to ape a movie with little Big G in the first place? Can the terrible script make a semblance of sense when read by the overpaid actors? We get another extension of the Mosnterverse this week with the 5th official film entry into the Titanic series. Can a more vibrantly colored and Kong heavy story swing through theaters to box office glory, or will this Showa era excursion into the center of the earth land flat on its face?
