Will this movie use up all the carte blanche to print films that SRS Cinemas has garnered over the years or will this movie chum up the waters? Episode 239 – Ultraman: Rising (2024)

Join us this week as we take another look at the hit or miss world of Netflix Animated Kaiju actions, as we look at a brand new Ultraman universe. Episode 238 – War of the Ninja Monsters: Jaron vs Goura (2024)

We return once more to the funny headspace of Director Shinpei Hiyashiya, this time with perhaps his smallest crowd fund raised film yet that take place outside of his Raigo series. Can this simple tale of ninjas, ancient kaiju guardians and the simple mountain village outside of Tokyo distract us long enough from the world collapsing around us? Likely not but we will still watch 2024’s “War of the Ninja Monsters: Jaron vs Goura”

Episode 237 – Kaiju No 8: Mission Recon (2024)

We take a look at a theatrically released truncation of an anime hit, as the latest manga adaptation flies off the page and into film in a short time frame. Will this movie be enough to get audiences interested in the characters and universe of the show or is it too much left on the cutting room floor? Episode 236 – Ape X Mecha Ape: New World Order (2024)

Once more we escape our straight jackets inside the Asylum for another mockbuster, but one that perhaps is our last one for the podcast. Can a sequel without a godzilla rip-off succeed to ape a movie with little Big G in the first place? Can the terrible script make a semblance of sense when read by the overpaid actors? Can Cthulhu by another name end the world and grab our attention? We will see this week as we load up this film on Tubi, for this is 2024’s “Ape x Mecha Ape: New World Order”

Episode 235 – Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire (2024)

We get another extension of the Mosnterverse this week with the 5th official film entry into the Titanic series. Can a more vibrantly colored and Kong heavy story swing through theaters to box office glory, or will this Showa era excursion into the center of the earth land flat on its face? We take a long and loving look at the second film in the titan team up this week with 2024’s “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire”

Episode 234 – Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (2023)

The Monsterverse continues on the streaming screen as we get a prequel to the King of the Monsters and a look back at the creation of the Monarch organization. Can a more human-centric story survive in a universe dominated by giant kaiju battles? We will chat Legendary films and Apple TV adaptations this week as we take a peek at 2023’s “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters”
